Who We Are?
Get Around Uganda is a mainly women-owned Car Rental Agency. We have a few men as part of our decision-making team but the majority of the directors are women.
Our inspiration is to find our place in a business world that is mainly occupied by men. We are the people to look for in case you need female tour guides on your trip. We ensure that we do not simply talk about women’s empowerment. We walk the talk. We are a living example that women in Uganda can also earn a living as well as lead organizations that are responsible for making holidays possible.
In a country that is so much bent toward masculinity, we are simply a drop in an ocean. But in due time, our impact, our vision, and our passion for our job will bring the equality and economic transformation that many are simply yarning for in their lives.
We are committed to making this business work because we are not willing to be among the statistics of the women who have not made it in Uganda. Rather we will be a beacon of light to many ladies not only in Uganda but even beyond the global south.
What We Do At Get Around Uganda?
Get Around Uganda is a car rental agency based in Kampala. We now offer car rental services in Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Kenya courtesy of our local handlers. Reach out to us for any travel advice regarding Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya, and Uganda.
All our car rentals in Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda require a minimum hire tenure of 14 days. This is to avoid accidents among clients who wish to cover a lot of space in the shortest time possible. Since most of our cars come from Uganda, it is unreasonable to cover the pickup and drop-off charges for a 5-day or 7-day trip.
